Why is there a $20 charge on my USD payment
Last updated: February 13, 2026
Payments in USD to contractors living outside the U.S. are processed through the SWIFT international wire system.
Bank Fees: Cross-border USD transfers typically incur a $20 processing fee charged by intermediary or recipient banks.
Regulatory Requirements: Under U.S. law, including the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), additional compliance checks are required for contractors without a U.S. EIN or SSN, which can affect how payments are routed.
Please note: This fee is charged by the banking system and is not retained by Niural.
