What information can you find in your paystub?
Employee details: Name, SSN, Address
Employer details: Name, Address
Federal filing status
Pay period dates
Pay day
Gross earnings: Income before deductions like taxes and contributions.
Withheld taxes: Federal income tax, and if applicable, state or local taxes, along with employee’s FICA share (including Medicare and Social Security taxes).
Employee contributions: Payments towards retirement plans or pensions.
Deductions: Amounts deducted for items like health insurance or life insurance.
Net pay: The final amount the employee receives in their paycheck after subtracting taxes, contributions, and deductions from gross earnings.
