What is FATCA status?
Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) requires foreign financial institutions and non-financial entities to report US account holders' foreign assets or face withholding. File W-8BEN-E, specifying Active or Passive Non-Financial Foreign Entity (NFFE).
Active NFFE is the most common tax classification and will apply to most contractors and vendors.
